WOMEN IN MUSIC
"a GENUINE YOUNG MUSICAL SPIRIT OF HIGH-CALIBRE."
Rachel Drubetsky is an outstanding young musician, traversing the realms of Contemporary Classical & Jazz, as well as funk, electronic & other avant-garde popular idioms. Starting at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Drubetsky ventured into the music scene early as a very active protagonist, creating her own ensembles & performing as a freelance artist.
Rachel has performed with groups such as the Young Women’s Jazz Orchestra, Pacific Brass, and toured nationally with The Regime, as well as 7-piece funk band DOGMA. DOGMA played Woodford Folk Festival 2019 & is currently working on their upcoming EP.
As an instrumentalist, Drubetsky has recorded with groups on ABC & Fine Music FM Australia, and is also the Artistic Director of ENSEMBLE MUSE, a 7-piece female Contemporary Classical group based in Sydney. Founding & performing with Ensemble MUSE has brought her invigorating creative freedom through working on challenging & daring repertoire, while curating innovative new music programmes.
Looking for new perspectives & a unique place in the music world, Rachel is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Psychology at Sydney University. After studying a Bachelor of Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium, she decided to move into the path of music psychologY, seeking a way to use music as a means to help & heal others.
LILITH NIGHT is very happy to have Rachel on board for upcoming projects in Australia!
empowering music to dare to be equal, inclusive & accessible to all!
